The Black Howler Monkeys are a protected species. There’s approximately 20 square miles along the Belize River which comprises part of this tour and of which includes a combination of dense jungle, pastures, farmlands, and small village life.
Get to see views of these intelligent animals perched in the treetops. Your arrival in their territory will be loudly announced with the famous grunts and deep howls that the monkeys get their name from. They can be heard up to 5 miles away. Perhaps you may even get an up close and personal encounter- shoulder to shoulder off hand experience with some of them.
While hiking along the trail, experience the different flora and fauna; you will be hiking for approximately 1 hour.
