You will be picked up personally as we make our way to the banks of the New River. Climb aboard and enjoy a boat ride through the fauna of the Mangrove Ecosystem.

See the endangered Spider Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, Toucan Birds, Great Black Hawk, Morelet Crocodile, Bats, Turtles along the way to Lamanai Maya Site.

Upon our arrival at the Maya Site, we hike through dense jungle and learn about Belizean Bush Medicine. At the site , learn the history of the ancient Maya city and it people, step back in time and awe at the mystery of one of the most vibrant cities of Meso- America.

We will view the most important structure in the archaeological site of Lamanai which were restored – The Temple of the Jaguar Masks and the High Temple. This metropolitan city survived for over 1500 years until the arrival of the Europeans caused the civilization to collapse. One of the best parts of the tour involves climbing to the top of the High Temple. It is quite worth the effort as you will be rewarded with great panoramic view of the pristine jungle and thick vegetation surrounding Lamanai as well as the nearby lagoon.

Finally, visit the Museum, enjoy a tasty Belizean lunch and visit the Gift Shop before we get back on board the boat to begin your return journey.
